Dr. Jane Manner's primary research areas are student satisfaction with online courses related to personal feedback, social interaction, extension policies, and appropriate support for non-traditional students in online education. She has presented her work at numerous professional events, including the Association for Teacher Educators (ATE), the Southeastern Regional Association for Teacher Educators (SRATE), the Society for Applied Learning Technology (SALT), and the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE). Dr. Manner is a member of the Teacher Educator Standards Cohort (TESC), the Leadership Academy of the Association of Teacher Educators, and serves as a reviewer for the SRATE Journal and SITE. She is the immediate past president of the Florida Council on Elementary Education and is the recipient of the Mary L. Collins Award for Excellence in Teacher Education (2004).
