Module Title: “Strategies for Comprehending Expository Text”

Module Overview: Participants explore various reading strategies for comprehending expository text, including background information, approaches for teaching students to be actively engaged readers, and methods for involving parents in their child’s literacy education. This module requires that participants have access to a group of students.

Technology requirements include the ability to send and receive email with and without attachments, use a word processing program such as Microsoft Word, and access and navigate the Internet.
