Dr. Katherine Misulis serves as the Assistant Chair in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Her responsibilities include coordinating all personnel actions that affect full-time, part-time, tenure-track, and fixed-term personnel; the scheduling of departmental courses for all program areas; and work with all EPA and SPA employees to facilitate and monitor personnel processing for the department. As Associate Professor, she teaches graduate level courses in content area literacy instruction, supervises interns, and works with colleagues on a number of literacy initiatives within the reading program area and department. Primary research interests and professional publications focus on content area literacy instruction for all grade levels and effective instructional practices.
