The Mary Lois Staton Reading/Language Arts Conference presents an excellent professional development opportunity for educators. The half-day conference will feature a keynote speaker and many concurrent sessions presented by teachers and university faculty members. A variety of topics will be presented for pre-K through high school educators.

The Mary Lois Staton Reading/Language Arts Conference is sponsored by the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, East Carolina University. Each year the conference brings national, regional, and local speakers on literacy education issues to the conference in Greenville, North Carolina. Co-directors of this event are Lanette Moret and Kathy Misulis, with conference committee members: Terry Atkinson, Tanya Cannon, Tom Caron, Alice Feret, Robin Griffith, Ran Hu and Elizabeth Swaggerty.
