Master of Arts in Education - Special Education(MAEd-SPED)

The Master of Arts in Special Education degree program allows completion of an advanced degree for individuals who presently hold an initial Special Education teaching license. MAEd-SPED students complete core courses related to SPED issues/trends, technology integration, assessment, behavior intervention/support, and the facilitation of systems change through collaboration and co-teaching. In addition, MAEd-SPED students select specialty training from the areas of mental disabilities, learning disabilities, behavioral/emotional disabilities, and low incidence disabilities. This 39-semester hour program is completed on a part-time basis over a period of two years. All courses are available online.
