Irene Howell
 In 2004, Dr. Howell endowed one million dollars to the College of Education to further the college's mission to help teachers provide educational opportunities for students with special needs. Her gift enables the center to purchase new equipment and continue to remain on the cutting edge of the fast-growing field of assistive technology.
Dr. Irene Howell is the founder of the Howell Centers located throughout North Carolina. These centers are dedicated to providing quality services and care to citizens with developmental disabilities. These centers are recognized throughout the nation as an outstanding service model. |
