Dr. Sandra Warren's primary research areas include providing students with significant disabilities with access to the general education curriculum and developing effective distance education programs for undergraduate and graduate students. She collaborates with other ECU faculty in program development and research associated with activities from grants received from the U.S. Department of Education. In addition to serving as the Special Education Program Area Coordinator, Dr. Warren particularly enjoys working with teachers in the general and adapted curricular areas and identifying effective ways to use instructional and assistive technology throughout instruction. Many of her publications are the result of work with ECU colleagues as well as the Council of Chief State School Officers, National Association of State Directors of Special Education, and the National Center on Educational Outcomes.
