Dr. Kathi Wilhite's primary research interests are in the areas of disproportional representation of specific groups in special education and in the area of emotional and behavioral disorders. She is also interested in the relationship/effects of policy on classroom practice. Her articles have appeared in Intervention in School and Clinic, Preventing School Failure, Severe Behavior Disorders of Children and Youth, and Journal of Applied School Psychology. She also contributed a chapter in the book The Integration of Psychological Principles in Policy Development, edited by C. Stout. She has presented at numerous national conferences and serves on a variety of committees, task forces, and boards within North Carolina and nationally.
