Dr. Sarah Williams' primary research areas are: electronic portfolios, teacher education practices and curriculum, strategies for K-12 students with learning disabilities, and strategies for enhancing success for college students with learning disabilities. She has applied these interests both in the university and K-12 settings in eastern North Carolina. Her articles have appeared in sources that include Teaching Exceptional Children, Journal of Technology and Teacher Education, Preventing School Failure, The North Carolina Middle School Association Journal, The Department Chair, and Current Issues in Education. In addition to teaching for the program of Special Education, Dr. Williams is the director of Project STEPP, a collaborative partnership that serves students at ECU with learning disabilities.
