Mission
The East Carolina University Economics Society is a composition of students that meet regularly to discuss economic related issues, provide a forum for helping each other in their economic curriculum, and generate a formal link between faculty members and the student body concerning economic related issues.
Membership
Any person who has an interest in the field of economics is encouraged to join. There is no minimum requirement for GPA or quantity of semester hours. Anyone with an interest is welcome! For a copy of bylaws, please click here.
Activities
Our assemblies include a variety of intellectual, fun, and business activities. We
- have guest speakers from national and international companies, politics speak about their perspectives of the economy,
- take an annual trip to a variety of interesting places such as The Federal Reserve, and local businesses
- play intramural sports,
- organize a graduation ceremony for the year's Economic Department graduates, and
- have specialists within certain areas that can help you study, and comprehend the vast world of economics.
