Published Issues

The current issue of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction (JoCI) was published in November 2011. Volume 5, Number 2 was an Open Theme. It can be accessed at http://www.joci.ecu.edu.

The Journal of Curriculum and Instruction published its inaugural issue July 2007. The theme of Volume 1, Number 1 was Literacy: Best Practices in an Age of High-Stakes Assessment.

The second issue was Social Studies: Teaching & Learning: Preparing Citizens for a Global Society, Volume 2, Number 1, published in January 2008.

The third issue was Addressing the Needs of All Learners, Volume 2, Number 2 and was published in July 2008.

The fourth issue of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction (JoCI) was published in January 2009. The theme for Volume 3, Number 1 was Using Action Research to Improve Educational Practices.

The fifth issue of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction (JoCI) was published in November 2009. The theme for Volume 3, Number 2 was Transformative Leadership.

The sixth issue of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction (JoCI) was published in May 2010. The theme for Volume 4, Number 1 was Recruiting and Retaining Teachers in High-Need Content and Geographic Areas.

The seventh issue of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction (JoCI) was published in November 2010. Volume 4, Number 2 was an Open Theme issue.

The eighth issue of the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction (JoCI) was published in May 2011.  The theme for Volume 5, Number 1 was Preparing Students with 21st Century ICT Literacy in Math and Science Education.
