Exciting workshops, outdoor adventures, service projects, seminars, dynamic speakers, entertainment, and recreational activities are scheduled. The basis of the school's leadership curriculum is The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Dr. Stephen Covey and The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey.

                       The Seven Habits:

1. Be Proactive - Take responsibility for your life
2. Begin with the End in Mind - Define your mission and goals
3. Put First Things First- Prioritize and do the most important things first
4. Think Win-Win- Have an everyone can win attitude
5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood - Listen to people sincerely
6. Synergize- Work together to achieve more
7. Sharpen the Saw - Explore and learn new things regularly

During the one week session, students attend classes and participate in various activities designed to enhance leadership development. Participants have the opportunity to practice applying the Seven Habits through experiential-based activities developed around the theme,
Challenge and Change.

Outstanding staff from across North Carolina will help students enhance their leadership abilities by focusing on issues facing teenagers and highlighting ways that young people can make a difference in their communities.
