English Education Graduate Degrees:
Master of Arts in Education-English Education (MAEd-ENED)

The Master of Arts in English Education degree program allows completion of an advanced degree for individuals who presently hold an initial secondary English teaching license. MAEd-ENED students explore English content knowledge, current and emerging educational issues, and pedagogical concepts and practices that affect life within the secondary English classroom. MAEd-ENED students develop the conceptual knowledge and research skills necessary to design and implement individual teacher action research projects, thereby informing their own practices and those of others in the field. Twelve-semester hours of this 39-semester hour program are offered online. Remaining courses are offered face-to-face on the ECU campus.

For more information about the MAEd-ENED program, visit http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/gradschool/results.cfm?id=321

A checksheet can be downloaded here detailing the 39-semester hour MAEd-ENED program of study.
