At the undergraduate level, the mathematics education faculty offers a degree program for initial licensure in mathematics at the high school level, a mathematics concentration for those seeking licensure at the middle grades level, a mathematics concentration for elementary education majors seeking to earn their academic concentration, and mathematics course work for those pursuing to add mathematics to an existing license or become a mathematics teacher through an alternative route. In addition, mathematics education faculty deliver mathematics and methods course work for all elementary and special education majors.

At the graduate level, the mathematics education faculty offers a master’s degree program in mathematics education with concentrations at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels. These degree programs lead to advanced licensure for those already holding an appropriate license. The Certificate in Elementary Mathematics Education leads to add-on mathematics licensure for already licensed elementary teachers. In addition, mathematics education faculty deliver mathematics and methods course work for students receiving graduate degrees in elementary and middle grades education (MAT and MAEd programs).
