Electronic Learning for Students with Disabilities: Issues and Solutions
Melissa Engleman presented a paper at the national Syllabus conference on distance learning technologies in July, 2005. The paper will appear in their special conference issue of "Campus Technology" in December. The paper was about a study of the application of universal design for learning to developing online courses.
A shorter description of only one component of this study was also published in Technology-Enhanced-Teaching, in August, 2005, by invitation. Dr. Engleman was also interviewed on this topic for "Distance Education Quarterly".
Further work on the research project above is to be presented at the annual Society for Alternate Learning Technologies (SALT) conference in August. This paper and accompanying presentation slides will also appear in the conference's proceedings.
