In January 2006 , Lions Clubs International President’s Certificate of Appreciation was presented by Lions Past International Director Dr. Wing-Kun Tam from Hong Kong, China, to George Holston for his service to the blind and those in need in eastern North Carolina. Holston is currently serving as Lions Vice-District Governor for NC Lions 31-H. He has received 100 Percent President Award three times while serving as president of the Cape Fear Lions Club (two terms) and the Wrightsville Beach Lions Club. Holston will serve as District Governor for NC Lions 31-H in 2006-2007 after being inducted on July 5, 2006 at the Lions International Convention to be held in Boston, Massachusetts.
