Dr. Larry Nash White was selected by the Editorial Team of the peer reviewed international published journal, The Bottom Line: Managing Library Finances, to receive the three (3) “Highly Commended Awards” of the Emerald Literati Network 2008 Awards for Excellence for his published articles in the 2007 publication year.  Dr. White’s articles were selected from approximately twenty-six (26) articles eligible for consideration for the four (4) awards. The three articles selected were:

Dr. Larry Nash White published Library Performance and Service Competition: Developing Strategic Responses. The book describes how libraries and library administrators can identify the service environment factors impacting customers’ strategic needs; identify library competitors’ strategic abilities and service environment impacts; and use the combined results to develop proactive competitive responses that drive the service environment instead of reacting to the service environment. The book is published by Chandos Publishing of London, England.
