Graduate Recognition Ceremony Information

The College of Education will hold a Recognition Ceremony for its graduates on December 12, 2008 at Noon in Minges Coliseum. Graduates in academic regalia are asked to line up by degree and department in the hallways no later than 11:30 am.  Signs will be posted in the hallways to assist graduates in identifying the correct locations for them to line up prior to the ceremony. All graduates must bring their yellow information card with them to the ceremony. 

Only participants will be seated on the main floor level. Family and friends of the graduates are asked to be seated upstairs. Elevators are available for handicapped individuals to access the second level of Minges.  Family and friends do not need tickets to attend the ceremony.

Photo Information:

As each graduate crosses the stage, a picture will be taken by a professional photographer. You will receive an email from the photographer with a link to their website, www.photospecialties.com, and a password that allows you to view and order your graduation photos online. Please be sure to provide an accurate email address on your green card that you turn in to Speight 102. A free color proof will be mailed to your permanent address so that you will have the opportunity to purchase these prints. You are under no obligation to purchase prints. If you do not receive a proof within a week of the ceremony, please contact info@photospecialties.com or call 1-800-722-7033.

Graduates, their families, and friends are also cordially invited to the University Commencement Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 10:00 am in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
