May 29 – June 2, 2006 - The Eta Chi Chapter received a Reading Is Fun (RIF) Grant this year from Kappa Delta Pi and partnered with two 3rd and 4th grade classrooms from Bethel School. Students, using the science curriculum studied during the school year, wrote science content books. Students typed their individual pages in a word processing template on a laptop computer and later inserted a scanned illustration created by each student. Hardback books were published with the science content and each student was given their very own copy to keep. Additional books were made and donated to the school library for other students and teachers to enjoy. This exciting project was a huge success for all.
