COE Professional Advisory Board

COE Junior Advisory Board

In September 2011, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Patriarca, created a Junior Advisory Board (JAB). The purpose of this board is to share the experiences of students in the college with the Dean and administrators, to advise the Dean on new ideas, to help establish a culture of giving amongst students, and to provide lasting leadership opportunities for board members. The Board will expand the perspectives of the College and ensure that students are considered when making decisions.

Homecoming Weekend - To celebrate Homecoming weekend, the College of Education would like to invite you to connect with your alma mater at our annual "Breakfast on the Porch" Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Speight Building right before the Homecoming Day Parade on Fifth Street in Greenville.

The Educators Hall of Fame recognizes and highlights the service of those educators to whom East Carolina alumni and friends are most grateful. This permanent recognition is displayed prominently in the Speight Building. Donations to this fund support a four-year scholarship offered to incoming freshmen who have intentions of majoring in education.

COE alumna named Executive Director of Student Academic Success at NCCU

Lee recently accepted the position of Executive Director of Student Academic Success at North Carolina Central University after serving as Director of Student Disability Services for the past eight years.  In her new role, Kesha will lead all retention and student success initiatives for first and second year students within the University College at NCCU.

ECU College of Education honors scholarship recipients and donors

More than 100 students in East Carolina University’s College of Education have received a record amount of scholarship support for the upcoming academic year. This year, more than $550,000 in merit and need-based scholarships was distributed to 106 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education students. ECU College of Education alumnae Hayley Flynn Mullins was recently was named Coordinator of Special Education for Campbell County Public Schools, Virginia.
