Partnership East is a collaboration between the ECU College of Education and North Carolina Community Colleges. The goal of the partnership is to grow teachers dedicated to their local communities and to provide community college transfer students the opportunity to complete bachelor's degrees through affordable, high quality, online course delivery. Students are placed in local school districts to practice principles covered in online courses and for internships. Coordinators are located throughout North Carolina to serve students through regional hub site offices.
The Partnership East Coastal Service Area Office, located on the New Bern Campus of
Craven Community College serves as
a central location for all information relating to Coastal Service Area
students. Interested students should schedule an initial appointment.
Copies of all college transcripts should be brought to the initial
meeting. Plan to spend one hour in the initial meeting. To schedule an
appointment call the office (252) 638-6492.
The Partnership East Virtual Service Area office serves all students outside of the North Central, South Central and Coastal regions. Interested students should schedule an initial appointment with Ms. Karli Ruscoe, the hub site coordinator. Copies of all transcripts should be e-mailed to Mrs. Ruscoe prior to the initial meeting. Plan to spend one hour in the initial meeting which will be conducted through web conferencing applications on your desktop or laptop computer.
To schedule an appointment, e-mail Mrs. Ruscoe. Office hours vary during the semester, and are influenced by office responsibilities.
Practicum and internship placements are not currently available in New Hanover and Watauga Counties. Students from these locations may request placements in neighboring school districts to complete required school-based assignments.
