A bachelor's degree in middle grades education prepares teachers to work with children in grades six through nine with two academic concentrations. The 2008 Wachovia partnership East (WPE) cohort will concentrate in language arts and science. The middle grades education coursework provided through WPE is offered completely online through the Virtual Consortium.
Wachovia Partnership East starts cohorts of middle grades education majors annually. To join Wachovia Partnership East, students must meet the requirements listed on the general description webpage as well as submit a WPE application to a WPE Coordinator and a Freshman/Transfer application to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at East Carolina University.
