PLATO: Preparing for the Praxis I

What is PLATO?

PLATO is a web-based instructional support and test  preparation program for teacher candidates preparing for the Praxis I examination.  PLATO allows students to practice for the Pre-Professional Skills Test at no cost to the student.  After completing the simulated test, PLATO creates a learning path using PLATO courseware to provide instruction and fill in identified skill gaps.  

How do I register for PLATO? 

• If you are an on-campus student, sign up for PLATO in the College of Education Advising Center (Rivers 135). 
• If you are a distance education student, have your instructor send a referral via email to mellishl@ecu.edu. The email should contain your name and your Pirate ID.
