To the Applicant:
We are pleased that you are taking the next steps to apply for a tutoring position with AmeriCorps/ECU Project HEART
. The application process consists of three parts:
1) a completed, signed application
2) two recommendation forms
3) FBI Background Check

In order for your application to be considered, you must complete and sign the application. In addition you need two recommendations. Please fill in your name and classification on the Project HEART
Both of your recommendations should be completed by a faculty member who knows you well enough to answer the questions on the form. Give the form to the designated person, ask them to complete the form and place it in a sealed envelope. Inform the person to sign across the seal and return it to you.
In order to complete the FBI background check you will need to make an appointment with the Sheriff's apartment to be finger-printed. You will need to attach the finger-print card to the FBI Background Check application form and mail in to the address provided. Please keep your receipts so that if selected you may be reimbursed.
Once you have the application and reference forms completed, mail them to the address on the application or deliver it to the Project HEART
Office located at 1914 W. Arlington Blvd. If the Project HEART staff can assist you with completing any of the forms, please contact us.
Once we have reviewed your application, one of the Office staff will contact you and set up an appointment for an interview. We look forward to working with you.
