Tutoring in an integral part of our program and we take pride in our partnerships with the K-12 schools and community agencies. Teaching Fellows and Maynard Scholars get 5 semesters of tutoring experience, outside of committee obligations and coursework during our program.  Normally, the Teaching Fellows and Maynard Scholars volunteer approximately 3,000 tutoring hours each year.

Freshmen tutor in Elementary After School Programs, Sophomore tutor in Non-Profit Agencies, and Juniors tutor in subject specific areas in local K-12 schools.  If you are a classroom teacher and are intersted in inquiring about having a tutor in your classroom, please contact us at teachingfellows@ecu.edu .

Tutoring assignments are made through our office. Tutoring information, such as directions, tutoring logs and placements are found in Blackboard.
