SRTTC is now ALTO
The ECU College of Education and Embarq are pleased to announce the formation of the Alliance for Learning and Teaching Online. The mission of ALTO is to advance the use of online instruction in elementary and secondary education by providing professional development, mentoring and online resources to educators in the Latham Clinical Schools Network.
With the introduction of ALTO, the Southeastern Regional Technology and Teaching Conference has been canceled for this year. In the future, ALTO will host web-based resources and events to promote the use of online instruction. The new ALTO website will be available in April. Please check back to learn about the projects and services available from ALTO.
The members of the ALTO steering committee would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of those who planned, sponsored and participated in SRTTC for so many years. ALTO is committed to providing resources and training for 21st century learning in ways that best meet the needs of today’s educators. We welcome your input on the types of activities that will advance online learning in our schools. Comments and suggestions may be sent to Ellen Dobson, COE Technology Coordinator at dobsone@ecu.edu.
