LAST DAY TO DROP for the spring semester is Thursday, March 7 2013. (Please note that your signed form or advisor email must be submitted in to the Registrar's Office by 5PM!)


  • If you decide to drop a course you are struggling in using one of your allotted university drops, you can NOT do it yourself in banner. FOR ALL ON CAMPUS courses (Cmp=008) you MUST send an email to your advisor including the following info: your name, banner ID, course name + section #. Your advisor may ask that you come in to see him/her so make sure to respond appropriately to any follow-up given to your request. FOR ALL ONLINE DISTANCE ED courses (Cmp=650) you MUST send an email to DEdrops@ecu.edu including the following info: your name, banner ID, course name + section #. ON THE LAST DAY TO DROP, students are encouraged to just stop by the Advising Center to fill out a drop form (should take no longer than 5-10 min) and take the signed white copy to the Registrar's Office in Whichard.
    • MAKE SURE you have a drop left to use - you started out with 4! If you need us to check on this, call the Advising Center at (252) 328-4645. You must know your banner ID at the time of your call.
    • If you are DROPPING BELOW FULL-TIME you must make sure that you will remain okay with your academic standing/overall GPA goals, financial aid and health insurance coverage.
