The Spring ECU Commencement will be held on Friday, May 10th at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The ceremony begins with the processional at 9:00 AM. Degree candidates and faculty who will participate are expected to make a reservation via the ECU Commencement web page. That web page also provides further information about the ECU ceremony.

The College of Health and Human Performance invites graduates, families, and friends to help celebrate the accomplishments of those receiving degrees. The HHP College Recognition Ceremony will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 10th in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Tickets are not required for entrance.

Graduates participating in the College ceremony are asked to sign up via their department office before March 28, 2013.

HHP graduates in academic regalia are asked to be in line by degree and department in the classroom/office area of Minges no later than 4:30 PM on Friday, May 10th. Signs will be posted to assist in identifying the correct line up locations:

  • Military Cadets, Doctoral and Masters candidates by department: the 'purple' hallway.
  • Bachelors candidates:
    • RCLS: classroom #142-145 hallway
    • HEP: vending machine/pool hallway and offices #150-155 hallway
    • KINE: KINE Office and offices #172 -176 hallway

The processional will move from the purple hallway/room #142 area and march into the arena through the entrance at the stadium end of the building. A professional photographer will take a picture of each graduate as they cross the stage. Family and friends are welcome to take pictures after their graduate walks off the stage.
