Fall 2009 Commencement Recognition Ceremonies

The Fall ECU Commencement will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 18, 2009 in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. The event will begin with a band concert at 9:30 AM.  Degree candidates and faculty who will participate are expected to make a reservation via the main ECU Commencement web page (http://www.ecu.edu/commencement/ ). That web page also provides further information about the ECU ceremony.

The College of Health and Human Performance invites graduates, families, and friends to help celebrate the accomplishments of those receiving degrees. The College Recognition Ceremony will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 19, 2009 in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.

Graduates in academic regalia are asked to line up by degree and department in the classroom/office area of Minges at 8:15 AM. Signs will be posted to assist in identifying the correct locations:

• Air Force and Army ROTC Cadets, Doctoral and Masters candidates by degree and department: the ‘purple’ hallway.
• Bachelors candidates:

HE&P – classroom hallway
EXSS – vending machine/pool hallway
RCLS – mailroom/EXSS Office, #176 - #172 office hallway

The processional will move from the purple hallway/room #142 area and march into the arena through the entrance at the stadium end of the building.  A professional photographer will take a picture of each graduate as they cross the stage. Family and friends are welcome to take pictures after their graduate walks off the stage. For information about graduation photos, please click here.
