At the College of Health and Human Performance we strive to provide high quality distance education that is innovative and convenient.  Our online offerings include complete degree programs, certificate and licensure programs, as well as individual courses.

Online Degree Programs

Master of Arts in Education in Health Education (MAEd)

This degree is designed for working professionals seeking advanced certification in classroom teaching and is the only program leading to "M" licensure in health education in North Carolina.

Master of Arts Degree in Health Education (MA)

This degree provides advanced academic training for individuals employed or planning to seek employment as health educators in academic, clinical, community, and corporate settings.

Master of Arts in Education in Physical Education (MAEd)

This 36 semester hour online program enables licensed physical educators to acquire supervision and management skills and a "M" license as well as an (NC public school) salary increase.

Online Licensure/Certificate Programs

Licensure in Driver Education

The driver and safety education program in the Department of Health Education and Promotion at East Carolina University offers courses necessary for the licensure of driver educators in the state of North Carolina. Two licensure options are available. The requirements for both options can be met via distance education with courses offered on the Internet.
