Current ongoing projects involve how fat oxidation is altered with obesity, how insulin signal transduction is altered with aging, the optimal exercise prescription for enhancing insulin action, and how exercise training can augment the improvement in insulin action seen with dramatic weight loss (gastric bypass surgery).
