Welcome to the Department of Health Education & Promotion at East Carolina University.  The mission of the Department is to achieve excellence in teaching, research, and service as we strive to protect and promote the health of the population. We seek to advance knowledge and understanding of the factors affecting health and prepare students for professional and leadership roles in athletic training, environmental health, and health education and promotion. The Department provides support for professional, university and community service programs and activities, including undergraduate health instruction as a component of the University's general education requirements.

Our outstanding faculty offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs both on campus and via distance education.
