Amber Gardner
Hi, I’m Amber.  While volunteering for the Pitt County Memorial Hospital, I have learned that volunteering is a great way to give back to the community.  I have thoroughly enjoyed giving my time to this establishment.  The Hospital has treated me with respect and appreciation, and they made me feel as though I was a necessity.  I am planning to continue giving my time to the hospital after I obtain my required service learning hours—I enjoy it that much.

I worked in Radiology transport, which helped me learn my way around the hospital.  I have met very different people with very different backgrounds.  Being around these people has affected me personally.  From their heroic stories to their “hard-knocks” stories, each help me to have an appreciation for all.  Volunteering is a growth process in more ways than that which normally is expected.  If you are considering volunteering some of your time, the hospital is a great place.
