Spring Arbor of Kinston is the premier assisted living facility of Lenoir County. An assisted living facility is different from a rest home. In an assisted living facility, the residents still have a certain amount of independence, and at the facility, they receive the care that they need. Nowhere is that care given better than at Spring Arbor of Kinston. The staff and management are excellent, and the facility is very nice and clean.

My name is Paul Hawkins, and I volunteered at Spring Arbor of Kinston for my Service Learning Project. My project was part of my HLTH 1050 class. The mission of my project was to care for and learn about the emotional wellness of the residents. Being in a facility can be very depressing. I believe that, through my visits and activities, I helped increase emotional wellness at the home. I learned so much about the importance of the elderly in our community, and I learned so much from the wealth of knowledge and wisdom the elderly possess. I would recommend that all those who live in the Kinston area to consider volunteering at Spring Arbor. It is an excellent experience!
