Brody School of Medicine
Excellent interdisciplinary opportunities exist with various laboratories in the Brody School of Medicine. Space for clinical human studies (muscle biopsies, IVGTTs, glucose clamps, lipid profusion, microdialysis) is provided by the Diabetes Center in the Brody Medical Sciences Building. Human Performance Laboratory faculty currently occupy two laboratories in the Department of Physiology and four laboratories in the Department of Internal Medicine. These laboratories are equipped for basic biochemical and molecular techniques, including cell cultures and RT-PCR. In addition, fully equipped and staffed animal care facilities are available and on-site.
