The recreational therapy administration (RTA) degree uniquely focuses on the development of clinical and professional competencies. The RTA curriculum is designed for those individuals interested in leadership positions in the broad spectrum of recreational therapy services such as hospitals, health care agencies, and related allied health service sectors. The RTA degree prepares students to become master clinicians, programmers, managers and researchers. Faculty mentors assist students in developing career paths and provide guidance for research and other activities.
Upon completion of the degree, graduates are eligible to apply to sit for the certification examination sponsored by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation. For details of the curriculum, click on the "More RTA" link.
