Study abroad programs in Recreation and Leisure Studies (RCLS) appeal to students of all majors, as these experiences operate from a multi-disciplinary perspective to capture the broader issues of health and wellness, sustainability, and economic development. Study abroad programs in Recreation and Leisure Studies can be applied towards ECU’s Certificate of Global Understanding and Minor in International Studies. These programs may also satisfy cognate classes and restrictive elective credits toward other degree programs. Overwhelmingly, students in our programs report being highly satisfied and learning life lessons that go far beyond the classroom.

In 2010, RCLS will once again offer programs to the South Pacific with a 3.5 week program to Australia (6 s.h.) and a one week program to Fiji (3 s.h.).  To learn more about these programs visit the Study Abroad in the South Pacific website.
