Single Image Element

Images on your website are very important to keep your viewer interested. Adding an image is simple through CommonSpot. 

To insert an image using the "Single Image” element follow these two (2) steps: 

  1. Insert the custom element "Single Image” 
  2. Choose & Adjust your image

Detailed Tutorial

To add a single image to your web page use the “Single Image” element found under the "Image Elements" header and follow these two (2) steps: 


Step 1: Insert the element and click on the gear icon to edit the element.

Step 2: Add the desired picture using the "Choose" button or "New" button


Adding a New Picture

If the picture is not already currently in CommonSpot, it will need to be uploaded from your pictures folder on your computer. 

To do this, click on the "New" button. 

Target Subsite: The subsite that the picture will be used. Usually it is the current subsite you are in.
Upload New Image: Pulls up a Windows Explorer window that lets you select the image from your Pictures folder
Description: Gives a description of what the image is. This is the text that appears when the mouse hovers over the image on the page.
Category: Tells what group the image belongs to.

Make sure to check the "include in public image gallery" box

And that's it! Your containers will now look something like this:


Tips & Tricks

You can add a rollover image that will appear if you hover your mouse over the current image. You can add a caption to your element by clicking the "+" sign in the top left of your elements container.
