How do I connect to the university network on campus?
ECU has created a new process that requires East Campus users to log into the university network. Until logged in, users cannot access the Internet, e-mail or instant messaging.

How to copy a CD/DVD to another Cd/DVD?
When you insert a blank recordable CD into your CD-R drive, Windows will open a dialog box asking if you want to open a writable CD folder. Alternately, you can use Windows Explorer to access this folder, or right click on the files that you want to write to disc and choose "SEND TO... CD DRIVE (D:)" (your drive letter may vary) from the context menu.
After dragging and dropping all the files you wish to burn into the CD window, click on Write These Files to CD in the task bar to the left, and a wizard will open that will walk you through the rest of the process.
If you are a faculty or staff trying to make multiple copies of a cd please come by the Walk-in IT Help Desk (Austin 103) where there is a CD duplicator.
To Copy a CD-ROM
To copy a CD-ROM with Windows XP, you must first copy the contents of the CD-ROM that you want to copy to the CD-ROM staging area, and then record a new CD-ROM using this data.
If you have a standard CD-ROM drive as well as a CD-R drive, drag the contents of the host CD-ROM to the CD-R drive icon. If you have only a CD-R drive, you can manually copy the contents of the original CD-ROM to a folder on the hard disk, and then drag the data to the CD-R drive that has had the original media removed.
NOTE: You can also right-click the files, click Send To, and then click the name or drive letter of your writable CD drive to copy the files.
