Where do I submit my Perseus User Consent Form?
Perseus User Consent Forms can be filled out online by going to help.ecu.edu and submitting an online request form. After logging in the form is located on the left side. If you have any questions, please call the Help Desk at 328-9866.
So now that I have submitted all of my forms, how do I access Perseus?
Go to https://surveyadmin.ecu.edu/perseus/. You will not be able to access Perseus if any signup requirements are not met.
I have submitted my Perseus User consent form? How long will it take me to get access to the application?
We require a three (3) day turn around time to get you access to the server.
Do you have to have a research background to create effective surveys?
No. Perseus SurveySolutions was specifically designed to help non research professionals create effective surveys. The online tutorials can assist you in creating effective surveys.
Is there a limit on the number of surveys that I can create?
There is no limit on the number of surveys that you can create, nor the length of any survey, or the number of respondents per survey.
Do respondents have to use a particular browser or operating system to take my surveys?
No, people that are taking a survey can use any web browser on any operating system.
I only want to survey a select audience. How can I protect my survey from other people taking it?
Perseus SurveySolutions allows you to indicate whether or not the survey is limited to invited panelists only and whether or not resubmissions will be allowed when designing your survey. Panelist based surveys are accessible only via URL links which contain a Unique ID for each respondent. You can select an option to prevent resubmissions.
How do I make my survey anonymous?
When creating a new survey, respondent's answers cannot be tracked when you select Open Participation. Also note that when you select Open Participation, that you cannot pipe data or other information into the survey from the respondent. If you select Workgroup Community, External Access List, or External E-mail list, be aware that these types of respondent sources are not anonymous as you can identify a respondent's answer based on their e-mail address.
