What is the Winmedia/Podcasting Server?
Faculty and staff can use this server to host large audio and video files that otherwise are not able to be stored on their normal web space. This server is also used to store your podcasting files.

Get Started
Go to help.ecu.edu >> Submit Online Request. Here you will find the Winmedia/Podcasting Web Space Request Form located in the Online Forms section on the left.

The easiest way to access the folders is through a mapped network drive at
\\cf5\winmedia 

To map a network drive:
Right click on "my computer" and select "explore"
Within Windows Explorer, right click on "my computer" in the left pane and select "map network drive"
Choose a drive letter or you can just use the default letter.
In the "folder" field, type in the path to your folder: \\cf5\winmedia\subsite
Check the box that says "reconnect at logon" so this drive will automatically appear each time you reboot your PC. You do the same for each of your folders.
