At East Carolina University, Banner Student consists of two interrelated systems: Banner Self Service (SSB) and Internet Native Banner (INB). The Banner Self Service system is accessible through OneStop for students, faculty, advisors, and academic departmental staff. The Internet Native Banner system is the background database that drives Banner Self Service.

Banner Self Service

Banner Self Service allows students, faculty, advisors, and staff to access registration, course offerings, student contacts, financial aid, and cashier information.

Access to Banner Self Service is always through the OneStop tools page. If you do not have access, email Regis@ecu.edu for assistance.

Faculty, advisors, and academic department staff have the Faculty and Advisor Menu, on Banner Self Service. Menu Options feature Course Management Information and Student Information. Students have the Student and Financial Aid menu on their Banner Self Service account.

Non Academic Department Access

Most staff members of non academic departments will not have Banner Self Service unless the individual is a student at ECU. Non academic department staff will gain access to student information via the Internet Native Banner (INB) system.

Internet Native Banner (INB)

The INB system provides the user access to financial, human resources, admissions, course offerings, and student information depending on the user’s job duties and responsibilities.

Internet Native Banner requires special security access to be able to view or modify information. Users access the system through a specific URL site and are required to enter a security password.

ecuBIC and Report Manager

A report manager resource has been created by the Office of the Registrar’s Technology team.  Contained are reports to assist in accessing departmental information as well as student information from the banner system. Reports available include student academic history and transfer works, course rosters in excel, advisee listings, as well as academic department information.

Banner Systems Training

Banner Training classes are offered each month to assist faculty and staff in each of the banner systems.  All classes are posted on OneStop under Faculty and Staff Training.
