Features of SabaCentra Symposium
ADA Compliant
SabaCentra is fully compliant to the Americans with Disabilities Act. For students who are hearing impaired, SabaCentra enables instructors to assign a captionist. Closed captions then scroll across the bottom of the screen for all to see both during the event as well as after the event in the playback. For students who are visually impaired, SabaCentra provides keyboard shortcuts for all in-session functions, it is compatible with screen readers such as JAWS and Narrator and it provides 10 different auditory alerts which can be set up to notify students of session occurrences.
Agenda Builder
Agenda Builder is a sophisticated agenda creation tool for building Web-based evaluation forms and assembling event content into a structured, customized format.

Application Sharing
Leaders and participants can share any Windows application, including their entire desktop or even a remote server, with other participants for IT and software product training.

Audioconferencing
Fully integrated, multi-way, full duplex voice-over-IP audio conferencing offers dramatic cost savings over traditional telephone conference calls, and allows instructors (the session leader) to identify and manage classroom interaction.
Breakout Rooms and Labs
Session leaders can break the main session into multiple breakout rooms for group or individual lab exercises. The leader can "look over the participant's shoulder" and even take control of his/her application or provide interactive assistance.
Browser Client
SabaCentra provides the option to attend a meeting through your internet browser using Java. This option enables you to logon to a SabaCentra event even if you are using a computer on which you do not have administrative rights. The browser client does not provide the wide variety of features available when using the rich client, however it is a good option if you find yourself trying to log on to SabaCentra for a computer that is not your own, or if you experience problems while installing the rich client.
Classroom Management
The session leader can control which participants have the ability to speak and interact with the collaboration tools.

Once an event has come to an end, participants in an event have the ability to download a pdf document containing all of the information covered during the event. The pdf contains uploaded Power Point slides, Whiteboard images, Survey questions, Appshare screenshots and more.
Evaluations and Quizzes
A wide choice of questions can be optionally auto-graded and reported on from the database later.
Event Scheduling and Enrollment
A robust Web-based scheduling and registration interface allows users to easily fill out SabaCentra Request forms to set up their SabaCentra events.
Feedback
Participants can raise their hands, indicate yes/no polling, demonstrate laughter and applause responses, utilize public/private text chat, and provide anonymous feedback to the leader and presenters.
Full Screen Content Viewing
Leaders can automatically expand the participants' content windows for viewing large shared applications or Web pages.
Firewall Transparency
The unique Adaptive Connection feature automatically configures SabaCentra to work through corporate firewalls using the best connection possible.
Insert URL
SabaCentra provides leaders and presenters with the ability to push participants to a website. This can be a used to share a YouTube video during a SabaCentra event or send students to a course site which they then have the ability to bookmark.
Mobile Device Support
SabaCentra participants have the ability to join a SabaCentra event using an iPhone or an iPad. Participants can hear and speak, utilize the emoticon buttons, participate in text chat and view the content area, all from their mobile device.

Multimedia
SabaCentra allows you to load and display image files (supported formats include: .bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tiff & .tif), play pre-recorded video clips (supported formats include: .avi, .au, .mov, .mpg, .mp2, .qt, .rm, .wmv, .rpm, .ram, .asf, .asx & .swf), audio clips (supported formats include: .wav & .mp3).
Multiple Presenters
SabaCentra Symposium supports an unlimited number of co-presenters and subject matter experts.
Password Reminder
Provides a secure solution for users who forget their login information, reducing the amount of resources required for end user support.
Peer-to-Peer Interaction
The leader can choose to open the "floor" to several participants at a time for peer-to-peer interaction and learning.
Power Point Presentations
Presenters can load their Power Point presentations (supported formats include: .ppt & .pptx) into their SabaCentra events and display them for the attendees to view. SabaCentra also provides a robust set of annotation tools enabling presenters to makeup their slides in real-time.
Recording Studio
SabaCentra provides a tool called the recording studio which enables faculty and staff, to create and publish playbacks from scratch, edit existing playback files, or export files into commonly supported formats such as .wav, .mp3 and .wmv formats.
Self-Paced Content Viewing
Events (class meetings) can be configured to allow enrolled participants access to event content before and after the live session.
Session Recording and Playback
With easy to use features for recording, editing, and storage, users can create professional, self-paced recordings in industry standard formats. These recordings can be viewed outside the SabaCentra environment with any standard media player or included as content within a live or self-paced session.

Smart Client Auto-Upgrade
The Symposium client application will automatically upgrade itself whenever the SabaCentra Server is upgraded or a new patch is installed on the server, dramatically reducing the amount of IT involvement in product upgrades.
Surveys
Leaders and presenters can create and "hand out" ad hoc surveys.
System Check
A Web-based, self-service system check makes sure each user's system, including audio settings, is properly configured before the live event begins. Visit the System Verification page to find out if you system is capable of running SabaCentra.
Tracking and Reporting
All assessment, user, event, and attendance data are tracked and reported. Additional custom reports can easily be generated.

Videoconferencing
Real-time, multi-point video conferencing enables users to see the session leader or other designated participants from within the virtual classroom. A unique adaptive video bandwidth feature ensures the highest possible performance.
Web Safari
Allows the session leader to take the participants on a synchronized Web tour. Participants can see the leader's "pointer" and will automatically scroll when the leader scrolls up and down on a Web page.
Whiteboard
Multi-user, interactive whiteboard provides presenters with many more markup capabilities than those available writing on a traditional whiteboard in a classroom. Content added to a whiteboard can be saved for later review.
