 WelcomeInformation Technology and Computing Services (ITCS) is proud to be an instrumental partner in helping ECU’s faculty, students and staff utilize technology-based solutions to improve productivity and efficiency. Being involved in several key UNC system committees, I can say that I consider ECU to be a leader in the use of technology throughout the system and the state. However, ITCS is not and cannot be successful without the help and support of the very constituents we serve. I take great pride in seeing how well the administrative and academic units work alongside ITCS in meeting the university’s mission and goals. Advances in technology are coming at light speed making it a breathtaking endeavor just to keep up. However, ITCS is committed to seeking out the technology of today and tomorrow to keep ECU in its leadership position. We cannot do it alone - we must ensure that we continue to build and nurture partnerships with not only our internal but also our external customers to understand their needs and goals. Our Vision
East Carolina University, through innovative information technology initiatives and service, shall provide opportunities for the ECU community to excel in teaching, research and service using state-of-the-art technology and leading-edge collaborative environments.
We equip students, faculty, and staff – both near and far – with tools, resources, and software they need to accomplish their academic, research, and business goals.
We partner with UNC General Administration (GA) and fellow higher education institutions and external organizations across the state and nation to share our expertise and collaborate on technology development.
We collaborate with ECU's Division of Health Sciences and surrounding eastern North Carolina health care providers to implement state-of-the-art medical technology systems to improve patient care.
