Oxygen - New for Fall 2013
ECU Oxygen allows you to sync files between your devices and encrypts files for added security. Oxygen folders can be shared with other ECU users; links to specific documents can be messaged to non-ECU collaborators for download.
Oxygen is not intended to replace Piratedrive; it is an addition to Piratedrive space. Oxygen is NOT approved for sensitive data; please refer to FERPA, HIPAA, and PHI guidelines.
Piratedrive is a server folder used for data file storage. Folders are password-protected, secure and backed up daily. All disk activities using Piratedrive must conform to the ECU Academic Computer Use Policy and the University Student and Employee Computer Use Policy. Piratedrive is for ECU users only.
All faculty, staff and students have a personal Piratedrive, which can be shared with other ECU users. Request a department site by submitting the request form from the online IT Help Desk request system.
SharePoint Collaborative Space
SharePoint, a browser-based collaboration tool, allows a group, such as a project team, to set up a centralized, password-protected Web space for document sharing, online meetings, event planning and more. Non-ECU collaborators can request access to a SharePoint folder.
To request a site for your group or to request an ID for a non-ECU user, submit the request form in the online IT Help Desk request system.
