Main Campus and Residence Halls - DMS-100 Special Features
The following is a quick DMS-100 feature guide: - Call Forwarding: Dial *29. You will hear 3 beeps and then a dial tone. Dial the telephone number you wish your calls forwarded to. You will hear 2 busy signal tones confirming your call fowarding has been accomplished.
- Cancel Call Forwarding: Dial #29. You will hear 2 busy signal tones confirming your call forwarding has been canceled.
- Three Way Calling: Call the first desired telephone number. When the party answers, perform a "flash hook" by depressing the hook switch for about one second and then release (you should hear 2 beeps). Dial the second telephone number you wish to call. When the second party answers, "flash hook" again. You now have a three way conference call established.
- Call Back Local (Ring Again): When calling a number on campus that is busy, perform a "flash hook". You will hear a second dial tone. Dial *11 (you will hear 2 beeps) and hang up your telephone. You will hear a distinctive ring on your telephone when the line becomes free. When you hear the ring, pick up your handset and the system will automatically connect your call.
- Cancel Call Back Local: Dial #11 (you will hear 2 beeps). Your call back has now been canceled.
- Conference Calling: Dial first number. Link, dial *14, Link, dial 2nd number, Link, dial *14, Link (omit if only making 2 calls); dial 3rd number, Link, dial *14, Link (omit if only making 3 calls). Continue the steps if making more than 3 calls. Conference calling can dial up to 6 numbers.
- Message Waiting: You may hear a broken dial tone or you may have a message waiting indicator light on your phone. The system is telling you that you have one or more voice mail messages.
- Last Number Redial: Dial *15 or ## each time you wish to try the last number dialed again. The system will automatically dial the number for you.
- Set Speed Calling List: To pre-program frequently called numbers, dial #18 (you will hear 4 beeps). Dial any number from 0-9 (use a new number for each telephone number in your speed call list), then dial the telephone number just as your would if your were placing the call. When you have finished entering the number, press the # key and you will hear 2 beeps confirming your speed call number has been loaded. Remember all numbers for off campus calls must be proceeded by the access digit 9. EXAMPLE: To set a Greenville number to the zero access code, you would dial #18 (4 beeps) 0, 9, 757-xxxx, # (2 beeps). Then to call this Greenville number, you would dial * 0 # and your call will automatically be dialed.
- Speed Calling: To dial a pre-programmed speed call number, dial *, then the digit you assigned to that number (0-9), then press the # key. The number will automatically be dialed by the system.
