ECU ID
Faculty, staff and students are assigned a unique ECU identification number. This system complies with the Identity Theft Protection Act and better protects your confidential information. You should consider this ID as confidential as your Social Security Number.
While a PirateID allows users access to electronic systems such as e-mail, the ECU ID is different and can be compared to a student number or employee number which identifies you in the payroll or financial aid system.
Your ECU ID is required for a number of very important functions such as:
- Register for classes
- Access academic records
- Receive travel advances and reimbursements (faculty/staff)
If you forget your ECU ID, log in to OneStop and click the link, “What is my ECU (Banner) ID?” on the Tools page or call the IT Help Desk at 252.328.9866/1.800.340/7081 for assistance.
You can also click on the “My ECU ID” button within https://pirateid.ecu.edu after you register your PirateID.
