ECUWWW Server

What is the ECUWWW Server?
This server is used for student organizations and also houses sites that have not yet transferred to CommonSpot. Your url will be http://www.ecu.edu/yourdirectory.

Please review ECU's Information Technology Policies to ensure the Web site you create adheres to all applicable rules and regulations.

Get Started
To establish access to a directory, you need to do the following:

1. Put in a ticket at help.ecu.edu

2. Upload your Web page files to the internet using FTP software to the ECUWWW Web Server using ftp.www.ecu.edu as your FTP address. Text and video instructions are available in the ITCS Tutorial Library for using the ftp program.

Note: Your home page is the front door to your Web site. So that your home page will automatically appear when someone enters your personal Web site address, be sure to name your home page file one of the following:

home.html
home.htm
index.html
index.htm
default.html
default.htm
