FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Software

What is FTP?
The function of FTP software is to transfer Web page files and related documents to a host server so the material can be viewed by the public. A variety of FTP programs are available.

A variety of FTP programs are shown below and even more can be found by searching the Web.

FileZilla
FileZilla is a free FTP program for file uploading and downloading to and from your FTP site, server, or host. The program lets you transfer files and navigate among folders, Web sites, and your computer.

WS_FTP Software
WS_FTP software is no longer a free software download but you can still download a free, 30-day trial version.

AceFTP
AceFTP's drag-and-drop interface, designed in a Windows XP fashion, lets you transfer files quickly and efficiently and lets you navigate with ease among folders, Web sites, and your computer.

Fetch
FTP Software for a Macintosh user.

RUMBA FTP
This program is for use with the MVS system. It must be installed on your computer by the Desktop Technologies Support team. Please call the Help Desk at 328-9866 to have it installed.

Secure Shell (Windows Client) SSH® e-commerce
The SSH Secure Shell is a Workstations Windows client (ssh2 client) that allows secure network services over an insecure network.
