TO ENTER A REQUEST:
- Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape).
- Access the ECU OneStop
- Login using your Exchange/Outlook username & password
- Click on the Tools tab
- Under the "Employee" section, click on "ITCS SDS Service Request"
- Complete the submit a request screen as noted below (NOTE: Click on arrows for choice options):
FUNCTION AREA OF REQUEST(SEND TO): (Important - directs request to appropriate area)
- Select "IDX" from the drop down box to send your request to the IDX programming team. Other choices will be directed to developers for other programs.
REQUEST TYPE: (Choose one)
- Modify Application System (Select for Additions/changes to existing IDX systems)
- New Application system (select for New IDX Development)
- Investigation (Question regarding a possible problem with the IDX system)
DATE NEEDED: Default is one month. Modify as needed
FLEXIBLE: Default is Yes. Modify as needed
CONFIDENTIAL: Default is No. Modify as needed
PROGRAM NUMBER: Enter identifying program number, if known. May be left blank
BRIEF REQUEST TITLE: This should be a brief summary, but enough info that it can be used to search on key words at a later time. (Ex: Query for Dr. Smith's Diabetes research grant; Add Ref Phys Dr. Smith; Research BCBS Claim edit; Edit Jane Doe access; Electronic filing of claims to Envoy)
DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: Give a detailed description of the request, with the same type of information supplied previously on form requests. This field cannot be edited once the request is submitted.
** Tip: If description is very long, it can be typed in a word document and copy/paste into this field. Remember, there is a time-out period for web-based screens.
BENEFITS RESULTING FROM REQUEST: This information will help to prioritize requests.
SUPERVISOR EMAIL USERID: You must enter the user id of your supervisor or the person that has the authority to approve the request. If that person is you, then simply enter your Exchange/Outlook user id. Enter only the user id (not @mail.ecu.edu). This must be typed correctly in order for the request to be sent to the correct person for approval.
** Tip: To find a user id:
- Go to Outlook
- Click on Tools; Address Book
- Search for the name
- Right-click on the name to view "properties"
- User id is "alias"
SUBMIT: Click on the "SUBMIT" button when the request is ready to be processed
After the request is submitted, the supervisor will be sent an email notifying him/her that the request must
be approved, with a copy sent to the original requestor. In the case that this is the same person, they will
receive 2 emails. The email will display the details of the request.
